Movie Mondays!

I saw this over the weekend with some lady friends and I absolutely loved it!!!! I thought the directors did an amazing job with the casting and I would totally go back and see this again!

**Spoiler alert** (altho I think it's in a preview somewhere) One of my favorite parts was when Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin's characters jump into their synchronized dance routine of Salt 'n' Pepa's "Push It" I was dying laughing and I bet it was a fun scene to film! Also - there's a neat little cameo by the author, Emily Giffin - very clever!

The movie was slightly different from the book, but I think because I literally finished it 2 nights before I saw the movie, I was very much aware of the changes.

I can't wait to get my hands on "Something Blue" so I can see what happens next in the storyline!

What movies have you seen recently???

My new favorite scent!

I read about Katy Perry's fragrance "Purr" on one my favorite blogs, Makeup By TiffanyD, and she was raving about how good it smelled.

I popped into Ulta a few weeks ago to test it out, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it..it reminded me of another scent, it wasn't too powerful, but I didn't know how it would react with my skin/chemistry

When I got home, I had my husband smell my wrist and his eyes lit up. "I really like that!" he said. He wasn't so keen on the Jennifer Aniston perfume I bought last month at Sephora (I love it, but I wish it didn't wear off so fast) and I figured having 2 scents was probably a good thing

So I went back to Ulta, picked up a bottle (which is adorable!) and because I spent a certain amount, I got a free .5 oz purse spray and a free tote!

I've been wearing it almost every day, and it definitely lasts a lot longer than the J. Aniston stuff. Here's the description of the scent:

"Purr by Katy Perry eau de parfum begins with the aroma of peach nectar and forbidden apple, evolves with a distinct floral bouquet of jasmine blossom, Bulgarian rose and vanilla orchid, and slowly reveals accents of creamy sandalwood and musk."

What's your favorite perfume for spring/summer??

What I'm Loving Wednesdays!

I can't believe it's already Wednesday! I feel like this week is flying by! Anyone else feeling the same way??

I mentioned this on Monday, but I am still loving my current read, "Something Borrowed." I am thisclose to finishing it and I cannot wait to pick up more of Emily Griffin's books!! I can't wait to see the movie on Friday with some of my favorite ladies. I am a big John Krasinski/Ginnifer Goodwin fan, too!

I blogged about my Ulta haul several weeks ago and never got around to reviewing this guy:

It's Essie's Naturally Clean nail polish remover

It doesn't have that typical, gross nail polish remover smell..in fact it has a really nice, light scent and I actually enjoying removing my nail polish now! It nourishes your nails, and makes them look really healthy, not stripped.  And a little goes a long way! I find that I can soak one cotton ball/pad with this and use it for at least one hand, if not half of another! With other removers I sometimes had to go thru 3 cotton balls, especially if I was removing a dark color.

And of course I'm loving my Naked Palette from UD. It's so fun to mix and match the colors and get different looks! My go to makeup blog is Makeup by TiffanyD and she has several tutorials on how to use the palette to get the most out of it!

Target Tuesdays!

I'm linking up with www.fabulousbutevil.com for my first Target Tuesday!

I would have to say Target is my #1 store to shop at, because they literally have everything...ok, maybe that's a stretch..but I love that I can go there, pick up some groceries, health/beauty products, and a new pair of sandals all in the same trip - not to mention there are 3 Targets less than 15 mins away from me!

Their new Calypso St. Barth Collection looks out of this world! But I've heard a lot of items are already sold out :(

Here are some of my favorites:

How cute is this makeup bag? Love the bamboo handles!

I'm wondering what's left at my local stores - if anything!

We're famous!

Ok, not really :) But check out this cool post about our wedding on Colleen's blog, Soundtrack To I Do. I found her blog through my friend Holly and was asked to be a featured Real Wedding.  It was fun to relive all the special moments of our wedding as I was writing it,  and take a walk down "memory lane, " especially looking at the pictures - I can't believe it'll be 3 years in August!!

Thanks Colleen! It turned out fabulous!

Movie Mondays...and more!

Ok, well I haven't watched a movie in the last week, but I did start to read "Something Borrowed" by Emily Griffin because I'm planning to see the movie when it comes out on Friday! I hate when I go see a movie/watch a movie and haven't read the book first...which is not to say that that hasn't happened to me numerous times, but I had heard such great reviews on this book, I figured it would be a quick read (and a good one at that!)

I haven't done any reading for pleasure lately, and I have to say, this book has me captivated!! It's been so nice to lounge on the couch this weekend (in between our weekend obligations) and just read! I'm about halfway thru (started reading on Saturday) and I can't wait to read more during my free time today at school!

And just for fun, because it's Monday, and Mondays tend to be blahhh:

Nail polish: Pixy Stix by Orly (love the name!) It's a coral-y pink color - perfect for May!
Ring: Ann Taylor Loft

My latest obsession...it is absolutely divine! Money well spent!!

I had a 20% off coupon for ULTA so I snatched up this raved-about product too (also by Urban Decay)

It's their Primer Potion in Sin, a shimmery champagne color which can be used as a base or alone. I tried it out today and loved it!

Happy Monday, y'all!!

Naked Palette!

I totally forgot to post about this! I got a call from my local Sephora (I was on a waiting list for a couple of weeks) that the Urban Decay Naked Palette is in and they're holding one for me!!

I cannot WAIT to try out the all the colors/different combinations!

I'm excited to try out the primer potion as well.. I kind of wish they still included the dual-end eye pencils with the palette, but I hear the new brush is pretty good, too.

Oh, between this and the Royal Wedding it's like Christmas! Not to mention tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of us signing on the dotted line for our house!
